Weekly Steam Plaza delivers news on notable titles released or announced this week on Valve’s PC game download platform, Steam, along with sale information.
Escape from Duckov
A PvE top-down escape shooter set in the bizarre world of “Duckov,” filled entirely with ducks. Players start from nothing, gather supplies, upgrade gear, and strive to survive dangerous areas teeming with hostile ducks. The ever-changing maps and items upon each exploration boost replayability, while tense gameplay—where a misjudged retreat can cost everything—serves as the game’s main appeal.
Fellowship
A fantasy-themed MMO dungeon adventure where players take on roles such as tank, healer, or attacker, working together with teammates using coordination and strategy to conquer dungeons guarded by powerful bosses. A unique scaling system increases dungeon difficulty infinitely as players progress, encouraging them to continually challenge their own limits in pursuit of better loot.
BALL x PIT
A roguelite survival game combining block-breaking and base-building, set within a massive crater left behind by an asteroid impact. Players use bouncing balls to defeat large groups of enemies while collecting resources to rebuild the base known as “New Ballbylon.” The game features a synthesis system allowing over 60 types of balls to create hundreds of synergies, along with base construction elements using more than 70 different facilities to develop and expand the city.
Necesse
A top-down sandbox game blending building and exploration. Players develop their base, prepare for new adventures, and explore vast worlds in search of treasure and rare materials. One of its highlights is crafting a wide range of items—from weapons, armor, and furniture to those derived from defeated monsters or mined ores—while also enabling cooperative efforts with friends to build a large colony.
Mohrta
A nonlinear FPS adventure set within the paranormal zone known as “The Great Strange.” Players become special operatives revived through iron and arcane magic, diving into five massive dimensions in pursuit of missing team members believed responsible for the world’s abnormal expansion. The game offers high freedom with players able to tackle these dimensions in any order. Alongside battling over 50 bizarre enemies using multifunctional weapons that can be upgraded, players also encounter eccentric NPCs.
Thief’s Shelter
A 3D point-and-click psychological adventure set within a mansion reflecting a crumbling psyche. Players take on the role of Detective James, who suffers from artificial dementia, investigating strange murder cases while confronting their deteriorating mental state. The mansion’s structure distorts and changes as investigation progresses, creating an environment where players must face hallucinations and repressed memories in order to uncover the truth hidden within.
Keeper
A wordless adventure game set on a lighthouse located on a remote island. Players awaken from a long slumber as the lighthouse itself, setting out with one mystical seabird as a companion toward a mysterious place at the heart of the island that defies understanding. This touching story portrays the warm friendship forming between the lighthouse and its bird companion as they journey through a world undergoing strange transformations—all without using any words.
