Today (October 20, 2025), Nintendo announced that it will host regular in-game events for the upcoming DLC “DK Island & Emerald Rush” for the Nintendo Switch 2 game Donkey Kong Bananza, starting this month.
The first event, “Chip Fever,” will run from 5:00 PM on October 28 to 4:59 PM on November 4. During this period, players can enjoy a special Emerald Rush with the following randomized elements fixed:
- The skill assigned to Banamondo is locked
- The Emerald Power obtained from Banamondo and fossils is fixed※
- The order of Void Missions is fixed
※Although still selected from three options as usual, the same choices will be presented every time.
The stage used in “Chip Fever” is “DK Island.” Players will encounter Emerald Powers related to chips, such as “Chip Collector,” which increases Emerald earnings based on chip count, and the “Magic Wallet,” which doubles chip holdings.
Additionally, players can earn event-exclusive character figurines based on their score in the Emerald Rush. This time, figurines of Kong Bananza and Enguard are available.
The second event is scheduled for sometime within 2025, with details to be announced later.
