Akagi Dairy announced today (October 17, 2025) that it will launch a limited-edition packaging version of its ice treat “Gari Gari Kun Soda” titled “Gari Gari Kun Soda (Pokémon Package)” on October 20, available in limited quantities.
This collaboration features a special packaging design showcasing Pokémon from the latest installment in the series, “Pokémon LEGENDS Z-A.” The vibrant soda-blue color combined with colorful Pokémon creates an eye-catching look that is sure to stand out on store shelves.
For the 7-pack version of Gari Gari Kun Soda (Pokémon Package), a campaign will award collaboration outdoor goods to a total of 1,000 lucky winners via lottery. To participate, collect entry coupons from the side panels of the packaging and mail them in using postcards.
The prizes include two types of outdoor goods: a picnic chair and a frisbee. The picnic chair (A prize) will be awarded to 100 winners selected from entries with three entry coupons, while the frisbee (B prize) will go to 900 winners chosen from entries with one coupon.

Gari Gari Kun was first launched in 1981 and celebrates its 45th year this year. The classic soda flavor, which has been a staple since the product’s debut, underwent a refresh in 2023 to better deliver the treat’s taste and quality—by coarsely shredding the ice and increasing the proportion of larger pieces for an even crisper, more refreshing aftertaste. As part of this special initiative, Pokémon from the latest game “Pokémon LEGENDS Z-A (Zeta A)” now appear on the packaging.
For “Gari Gari Kun Soda (7-pack) Pokémon Package,” a campaign will award Pokémon-Gari Gari Kun Outdoor Goods to a total of 1,000 lucky winners through lottery. Two types of prizes are available: picnic chair and frisbee—please take part!
