Wombo Combo Games has released a demo version of their upcoming title “Ghost Vanguard” on Steam.
This game reimagines 2D side-scrolling action with contemporary roguelike elements and is set for release on PC and Nintendo Switch. The developers have drawn inspiration from titles such as “D&D Mistral Heroic Saga,” “Devil May Cry,” and “Hades.” Key features include building unique character builds through combinations of weapons, spells, and relics, ensuring each run offers a fresh experience. Additionally, randomly generated maps feature arcade-style mini-games, challenge rooms, trap-filled treasure chests, and healing springs—adding new surprises with every playthrough.

Meanwhile, the Kickstarter campaign is ongoing until October 31st. The initial funding goal of ¥3 million has already been achieved, and additional funds will be allocated toward multilingual support, new playable characters, new game modes, and porting to PlayStation and Xbox platforms.

The campaign is currently live and has already reached 100% of its ¥3 million funding goal. Additional funds will be used as stretch goals, allocated toward multilingual support, new playable characters, new game modes, and porting to PlayStation and Xbox platforms. Rewards include limited-edition outfits paying tribute to the game’s inspirations, as well as special items allowing backers to embed their own messages or designs within the game.
