Today (October 17, 2025), Granzeera has revealed the detailed contents of exclusive bonuses included in the limited-edition Premium Box for its upcoming sci-fi simulation game “R-TYPE TACTICS I・II COSMOS”, scheduled to launch on March 12, 2026. The box will be available exclusively for Switch 2 and PS5, as well as regular Switch.
R-TYPE TACTICS I・II COSMOS is a remastered compilation of the two titles from the “R-TYPE” series: “R-TYPE TACTICS” and “R-TYPE TACTICS II -Operation BITTER CHOCOLATE-”, reimagined for current-generation consoles. The game features cutting-edge graphics, newly added missions, and content designed to delight both newcomers and fans who have played the original titles.
Players take on the role of a space fleet commander in a desperate struggle for humanity’s survival against the alien force known as “Vyd.” Utilizing familiar R-TYPE series aircraft such as the R-9A Arrow Head and Force, along with various spacecraft and fighters, players develop and deploy units to wage war across the stars. Success hinges on critical battlefield tactics—such as reconnaissance, supply logistics, and strategic unit placement—requiring creative combinations of surprise attacks, electronic warfare weaponry, and other maneuvers to lead fleets to victory. Over 100 diverse missions are available, weaving an epic narrative set in space that unfolds like a personal logbook.
