Nexting announced today (October 15, 2025) that the new PC game from indie studio Fire Foot Studios, “Jester: A Foolish Ritual,” will be released on Steam on October 31. The price is yet to be determined.

Jester: A Foolish Ritual is a co-op survival horror game for up to four players, in which the player awakens as one of the knights resurrected within a cursed castle. The goal is to escape from an exitless fortress by collecting scattered “runes” and completing a sacred ritual. However, with each step forward in the ceremony, a terrifying entity known as the “Jester” stirs awake—and comes for them.

To coincide with this announcement, the demo version is now available on Steam. The demo allows up to four players to explore the castle and experience a taste of the game’s atmosphere and terror. It supports Japanese, so those interested are encouraged to try it.

Game marketing company Nexting Co., Ltd. (President: Masatoshi Hikari) is pleased to announce the release of the co-op survival horror game Jester: A Foolish Ritual, developed by Belgian indie studio Fire Foot Studios, on Friday, October 31, 2025.

Additionally, a Japanese-language demo version is currently available for free on Steam. Experience the tense cooperative gameplay in a dim castle—all within a Japanese language environment.

About ‘Jester: A Foolish Ritual’

A cooperative survival horror set in a castle with no exit, where players must work together to survive. You awaken as a knight and must collect scattered “runes” across the castle to complete the sacred “Foolish Ritual.”

But each time the ritual progresses, a terrifying entity known as the “Jester” awakens. When its laughter draws near, there is no safe place—no matter where you run.

Prepare for an extreme multiplayer experience filled with teamwork, terror, and betrayal.
