You absolutely must see these beautiful girls' voluptuous bodies. In "MIRESI: The Invisible Future," set in a hopeless world, impactful thighs take center stage [TGS2025]

At Tokyo Game Show 2025 (TGS 2025), Smilegate exhibited a demo booth for its PC title “MIRESI: The Invisible Future.”
The game is developed by CONTROL9, a studio founded by creators who previously worked on titles such as Victory Goddess: NIKKE and Seven Knights 2. It’s categorized as a subculture-themed RPG, with an aim to release across various platforms in 2026.
If we were to highlight the most immediately apparent attraction, it would be the “vibe” conveyed by illustrations from Hiyorala, the art director who once handled character designs for NIKKE.
This vibe. There’s something instantly recognizable about this feel alone. Prior to the TGS exhibition, three female characters and a trailer expressing the game’s world setting had already been unveiled. However, details about gameplay remained largely undisclosed—information was practically non-existent until arriving at the venue.
Still, the visual presence of the heroines, who stood out vividly in this serious, despair-ridden world—more specifically their voluptuous lower bodies and strong silhouettes—had quietly captivated certain audiences. So this is MIRESI? Indeed.
Note: The pronunciation of “MIRESI: The Invisible Future” is MIRESI (miresi). It’s easy to imagine the game spawning crude, slang-heavy buzz in Japanese like “The future’s invisible… but you can totally see it,” making for a fun and bold cultural moment—so let’s just say, go ahead and see it.
The story takes place—let’s dive right in.
In a hopeless first era where humanity is once again on the brink of extinction, an interdimensional council was established after time travel became widespread. This body needed one representative from each era; thus, they dispatched “your” member—the self-proclaimed modern human residing in this first era—from the Future Administration Bureau to alter history.
In the second era, the first-era representative—known as a being from another world or a hero—is sent back through time to yesterday (the 24th night of the red-flower moon, magical year 326—the final Archive Point where future outcomes can still be changed), replacing a commander who died five minutes prior. This is not a typo: this act fulfills the predetermined conclusion of destiny.
Together with voters, they must confront the world’s enemy, “Truma.”
All to halt an endless cycle of collapse—forever.
Well? Did that give you chills? If your face turned serious, just interpret it as “a story about saving the future by battling monsters alongside beautiful girls.”

At the venue, three time-traveling heroines welcomed visitors: cold-hearted sorceress “Ende,” glamorous gal-ninja “Itsuka,” and cybernetic nun with a sacred gaze “Tieria.”
Their nicknames are “Promise’s Guide,” “Swift as Thunderstorm,” and “Most Sacred Madness.” Ende, who carries the title’s weight, appears to have some sort of bond—past or future—with you, the representative. Yes, that kind of connection.
Each heroine features a variety of visual assets: 2D character illustrations, 3D models for adventure segments, battle sequences, and field dates (discussed later), plus event stills. The styles differ nicely, giving each a strong look—but the 3D models still feel somewhat stiff, so further optimization is highly anticipated. Probably will be.
The battle system is surprisingly hard to describe in a positive way.
First, combat proceeds on semi-automatic mode: characters and Truma (monsters) placed within the battlefield fight automatically.
On screen’s lower-left corner lies a timeline; when your character reaches their turn on this bar, you can select one of three commands:
・“Quick”: Minor movement + Unique Action 1
・“Active”: Unique Action 2
・“Ultimate”: Special Move
Additionally, at any moment, players may use “Commander Skills” to apply buffs/debuffs, and there’s a function that can rewind time up to five turns ahead (name currently undisclosed). As the representative of the Interdimensional Council, you wield the “Chronogear”—a clock-like device capable of manipulating time.

Left: Quick (minor move). Right: Active (major move). Effects vary by character—attack, heal, support—and some even include unique actions like “pulling allies in a straight line toward you” instead of moving yourself. What matters here is the act of moving or causing characters to move. This game operates on a structure where you “watch semi-automatic battles unfold,” and—like in many MMORPGs—you “avoid enemy attacks (by recognizing danger cues) only when it’s your turn.” The battle design revolves around this.
It could be described as similar to tower defense, or perhaps compared to the limited movement mechanics found in FFXIV’s combat system.

The boss felt overwhelmingly strong—so much so it seemed like a full party wipe was imminent. But then, just in time, “BREAK!!” (a temporary defenseless state) triggered, allowing us to finally take it down. A perfectly balanced trial version with just enough struggle.

The restriction on movement creates strategic depth—making the act of moving itself a tactical decision. Placing an action to hit all enemies at once, or positioning characters for full-party healing—small moves can create critical shifts in battlefield dynamics. That’s when you know: “Gotcha!”
On the other hand, high freedom leads to infinite choices with no clear optimal solution. Thus, regardless of enemy and ally strength levels, the battle system itself might feel challenging. The mental load is significant, so during release, an auto-battle function will likely be essential.

After the battle demo, players were introduced to a feature called “Field Date.” Here, you can choose one of three heroines—Ende, Itsuka, or Tieria—to accompany you. For now, we went with Ende. Again… it’s all about fate.

Though labeled “accompanying,” within the field, you control your chosen character directly. Unlike battle mode, where movement is turn-based, here you move freely using W/A/S/D like a 3D action game. The representative remains invisible but participates in dialogue—so they’re clearly present.
Various events are prepared throughout the field, allowing players to glimpse these heroines’ off-duty personalities through conversations. Oh yes—they absolutely must be seen.
Also, at any time during gameplay, you can take photos freely. You can adjust framing and poses with ease. The character being photographed is the representative—this section clearly aims to let players fully enjoy a date-like atmosphere with beautiful girls.

The first impression of this game is undeniably its sexy heroines. But it’s not just about exposed skin—it evokes a sense of fetishism. There’s a clear intention to make players think, “This is exactly what MIRESI should look like.”
Whether that vision truly holds up remains to be seen—so we plan to interview art director Hiyorala for confirmation and will update you later. But before then, one final reminder:
These extremely bold-looking beauties? Seriously—you absolutely must see them now!
