"High-Quality Gundam Plastic Model Creation" Second Trial Scheduled at DiverCity Tokyo; Reservation Now Open

Sony Music Entertainment (SME) today announced that the second limited-time trial of its jointly operated service “High-Quality Gunpla Scan” with BANDAI SPIRITS will take place from November 15 to December 14, 2025, and has begun accepting reservations.

The event will be held at THE GUNDAM BASE TOKYO located in DiverCity Tokyo. The basic fee is 2,200 JPY (tax included).

High-Quality Gunpla Scan is a service that uses SME’s high-precision 3D scanning system, “SCANOSYS,” to create detailed 3D models of users’ custom-built Gunpla kits—accurately reproducing even the finest details—and allows them to view and manipulate these models in digital space.

Paid content (external link) includes options such as creating dynamic videos of your Gunpla within a diorama or challenging yourself with score attack missions where you battle enemy units. The paid digital content will be available for purchase from November 15 to December 28, 2025.

High-Quality Gunpla Scan previously held its first trial between February and April 2025 at THE GUNDAM BASE FUKUOKA (Fukuoka), with plans underway to expand the service’s locations in the future. Additionally, users who participated in the first trial will also be able to purchase this new paid content.

BANDAI SPIRITS Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Hiroshi Sakaguchi, hereinafter BSP) and Sony Music Entertainment Japan Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Toshiaki Muramatsu, hereinafter SME) will conduct the second limited-time trial of their “High-Quality Gunpla Scan” service starting November 15 (Saturday), at THE GUNDAM BASE TOKYO located within DiverCity Tokyo.

Pre-trial reservations are now open beginning today, October 15 (Wednesday), at 3:00 PM via the official website (https://high-quality-gunpla-scan.com/ja/lp). This trial is a collaborative effort between BSP—responsible for planning, development, manufacturing, and sales of Gunpla, as well as operating THE GUNDAM BASE TOKYO—and other companies within the Bandai Namco Group, in partnership with SME.

High-Quality Gunpla Scan was developed to provide users with high-quality 3D model data by scanning their custom-built Gunpla kits using SME’s advanced 3D scanning system, SCANOSYS(R), accurately reproducing even the most intricate details of handmade modifications.

This trial introduces additional digital content that allows users who purchase it to create diorama videos featuring their own Gunpla or freely control their scanned models in an action simulator and take on enemy units through score attack challenges. Customers who participated in the first trial at THE GUNDAM BASE FUKUOKA (Fukuoka), held from February 22 to April 27, 2025, will also be able to buy this digital content.

High-Quality Gunpla Scan is currently being trialed at THE GUNDAM BASE TOKYO, with future expansion of locations under consideration.
