McDonald’s Japan today (October 16, 2025) announced a new campaign in collaboration with the iconic fighting game series Street Fighter, marking their first-ever partnership. The campaign will launch on October 22.
This collaboration reimagines McDonald’s popular burgers—Teriyaki McChicken, Chicken Fillet, and Double Cheeseburger—as limited-time “Street Burgers,” inspired by characters from the Street Fighter series.
The lineup includes three new items:
- “Caramelized Garlic Mayo Egg Teriyaki” inspired by Ryu
- “Yulin Chicken Mayo Chicken” inspired by Chun-Li
- “Trichi” inspired by Ken
Additionally, new products such as the “Double Cheddar Sausage Muffin,” “Shakashaka Potatoes Yum-Tsuki Consommé Flavor,” “McFizz Vitality Energy,” and “McFloat Vitality Energy” will also be released.
Prior to the official launch, a new TV commercial will begin airing on October 21. The animated spot features McDonald’s appearing in the iconic stage of Street Fighter II, where Ryu, Chun-Li, and Ken battle a special collaboration character named “Vega Smile,” delivering a nostalgic feel reminiscent of classic arcade animation.

McDonald’s Japan Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Thomas Kow) is launching its first-ever collaboration with the globally popular fighting game series Street Fighter. Three limited-time burgers—“Caramelized Garlic Mayo Egg Teriyaki,” “Yulin Chicken Mayo Chicken,” and “Trichi”—will be available as part of the “Street Burgers” lineup. Additionally, new items including the morning-only “Double Cheddar Sausage Muffin,” “Shakashaka Potatoes Yum-Tsuki Consommé Flavor” (perfectly paired with burgers), and “McFizz Vitality Energy” and “McFloat Vitality Energy” served in exclusive collaboration cups will be available at all McDonald’s locations nationwide, starting October 22.
This marks the first-ever collaboration between McDonald’s popular burgers—Teriyaki McChicken, Chicken Fillet, and Double Cheeseburger—and the Street Fighter series, which celebrates its 38th anniversary since its debut in 1987. The limited-time “Street Burgers” reimagine game characters:
- Caramelized Garlic Mayo Egg Teriyaki is inspired by Ryu, featuring a classic Teriyaki McChicken with richly flavored caramelized garlic mayo and a tender egg.
- Yulin Chicken Mayo Chicken channels Chun-Li’s martial arts prowess—deliciously light yet savory oil-braised chicken with sweet mayonnaise and aromatic flavors of soy sauce, sesame oil, and ginger.
- Trichi, returning after last year’s huge success, brings back Ken’s signature look: three juicy 100% beef patties layered with three slices of sharp cheddar cheese for a truly satisfying, hearty bite.
