At South America’s largest gaming event, “Brasil Game Show 2025,” HypeJoe Games, a developer based in São Paulo, showcased their upcoming title, “UniqKiller: Urban Shooter”, as a playable demo.
The game will be available on PC and mobile platforms with cross-play support and is scheduled for a free-to-play release on December 4, 2025.
Stand out by creating your own hero, not choosing one
The game’s standout feature is its character creation system, which allows players not to pick pre-made characters—but instead to build their own (or assemble them).
Players can freely combine body type, body parts, clothing pieces, combat classes, skills, and weapons to create a fully original hero. Each part choice directly affects stats and skill trees. For example, lightweight builds increase movement speed but reduce defense, while heavy setups balance firepower and durability—blending RPG-style progression with the immediacy of shooter gameplay.
Additionally, character designs range from bold streetwear to combat gear, featuring vibrant, graffiti-inspired aesthetics reminiscent of São Paulo’s urban culture.
Simple and fast-paced PvP battles
Combat takes place from a top-down perspective.
The game uses an auto-aim system, allowing players to focus on positioning and skill usage without being burdened by aiming. Though the controls are simple, timing mistakes in movement, attack, or skill activation can instantly shift the tide—delivering high-speed action that’s accessible for newcomers yet offers strategic depth for experienced players.

During the demo, fast-paced battles unfolded on narrow maps designed to resemble city streets. Players frequently used walls for evasion and counterattacks. Different classes offered distinct playstyles—such as “Defender” (reflects attacks), “Runner” (high mobility), and “Blaster” (wide-area damage)—delivering varied and personalized combat experiences.
A world infused with São Paulo’s urban landscape
The game’s setting is deeply influenced by the streets of São Paulo.
Graffiti covering entire walls, neon-lit buildings, and rhythmic Latin-inspired background music recreate the city’s vibrant energy and urban dynamism within the game space. The development team stated they wanted to “directly transplant street creativity and competitive spirit into battle,” reflecting a strong intent to re-present local culture as a modern PvP experience.
In this title, Brazilian street art, hip-hop, and fashion are naturally integrated—not just as aesthetic elements but as core aspects of gameplay. Rather than being merely an action game, the goal is to deliver an immersive experience that captures urban lifestyle itself.
Although Japanese language support remains undecided at this time, with its bold colors, high-speed action, and authentic São Paulo energy, “UniqKiller: Urban Shooter” promises exciting developments ahead.
