Now then, today’s subject of admiration is “Pokémon Scarlet & Violet”’s character from the paid DLC “Part 2: The Blue Disc” (also known as Pokémon Scarlet & Violet: The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero, Part 2: The Blue Disc) — Akamatsu-kun!
I’ve wanted to write about Akamatsu-kun for a long time… I’m so excited…!

Located in the Ionia Region, Blueberry Academy is a school that places great emphasis on Pokémon battles. It uses a ranking system called “Berry League,” where trainers are ranked based on their battle strength — and among them exist figures like Champions and Four Heavenly Kings.

Originating from Tachiwaki City and raised in a family that runs a diner, Akamatsu is an energetic, cheerful hot-blooded boy who loves cooking.
Among the Four Heavenly Kings, he’s the only first-year student. According to official statements, he’s supposedly the weakest among them…
But according to him personally,
he’s not good at thinking about small details.
Yet…
He’s incredibly strong… in Pokémon battles!
Akamatsu-kun specializes in Fire-type Pokémon, and his battle style follows the school’s mainstream format: Double Battles.
I figured I’d just use a wide-area attack like Earth Power to exploit weaknesses — but then…

I was so shocked I literally went blind with fatigue and rushed my tired Pokémon toward the Pokémon Center.
Later on, I found out that Akamatsu-kun actually joined Blueberry Academy through a direct scout from the principal.
No wonder he’s strong!
But honestly? I think Akamatsu-kun just plays battles instinctively — without overthinking. He relies purely on natural talent.
Because when his Pokémon landed a critical hit,
he seemed totally clueless about why he took so much damage.
Yet this kind of strength… isn’t he basically a genius…??
Akamatsu-kun gives me infinite hope — I can’t contain myself anymore!

Blueberry Academy has many clubs, and Akamatsu-kun belongs to the “League Club.”
It’s basically a group where everyone competes in Pokémon battles for fun while aiming higher together.
But recently, some conflict arose within the League Club — making its atmosphere incredibly tense.
The Dragon-type Four Heavenly King, Kakitsubata-senpai, has been quietly stirring things up. Seeing this, Akamatsu-kun seems deeply troubled.

After some ups and downs, peace returned to the League Club. And I even got back my old friend (*´˘`*) hehe…
Visiting the club room now means we can chat happily with Akamatsu-kun.
Even though he’s sad that being demoted from Four Heavenly King after I became Champion, his smile shows genuine happiness — not because of rank, but because the club atmosphere is back to normal.

The Four Heavenly King and student council president, Nerine-senpai, who uses Steel-types. She’s able to dramatically boost her Pokémon’s flying abilities with special medicine.

When asked why, he says: “Because it feels good!” — so straightforward and cute!
When Nerine-senpai refuses, Akamatsu-k calls her “greedy!” — still such a kid at heart. Watching him makes me smile.

The school’s idol, Taro-senpai — loves the word “cute.”

So I’ll trade my own companion’s child, Karbou-kun…

Fun fact: Akamatsu-kun uses Quick Balls to catch Pokémon — probably because cooking is time-sensitive, or maybe he just prefers quick and easy methods. Either way, my only thought is: “Complete Interpretation Agreement.”
From now on, wherever I go in the world, Bubii will always be by my side!
