Independent game developer Pico Games has today (October 10, 2025) launched the demo version of its PC-exclusive title [Nairo no Kichin] on Steam.

This game casts players as “Lopp,” a beast-girl cook accompanying an adventurer party, creating meals from monster-sourced ingredients while striving to conquer dungeons. The full release is scheduled for early 2026.

During dungeon exploration, combat proceeds automatically by the front-line party members. Occasionally stray projectiles appear—dodge them wisely and gather ingredients. Everything you collect—including wild plants and disassembled monsters’ corpses—is usable as ingredients. After surviving a major enemy assault, camp life begins; here, decide how to cook your stored ingredients to grant buffs to your party.

Independent developer Pico Games has launched the demo version of its new title, Nairo no Kichin, on Steam.
This action game lets players take on the role of a cook accompanying an adventurer party, gathering ingredients from monsters and preparing meals to support dungeon exploration.

Demo Content

The demo includes one early-stage level and a boss battle. As the protagonist, your job is to collect ingredients by harvesting wild plants or disassembling monsters within dungeons, then prepare meals at camp to buff your party. Combat is handled automatically by the front-line adventurers, allowing you to fully experience the game’s unique feature: supporting from behind with the power of food.
