Bandai Namco Filmworks today (October 10, 2025) announced that the theatrical anime “Mobile Suit Gundam: Hathaway’s Flash – The Witch of Kyrie” will be released nationwide on January 30, 2026, across 365 theaters.
This film is an adaptation of Yoshiyuki Tomino’s original novel, serving as a sequel to the 2021 theatrical release “Mobile Suit Gundam: Hathaway’s Flash.” The story follows protagonist Hathaway Noa (CV: Kenichi Suzumura), leader of the anti-Earth Federation movement “Mafty,” who meets mysterious girl Gigi Andalsia (CV: Rena Uehara) and Earth Federation officer Major Kenneth Slegger (CV: Jun’ichi Suwabe), setting in motion a fateful tale.

This film centers on Hathaway Noa, leader of the anti-Earth Federation movement “Mafty,” who unexpectedly meets Gigi Andalsia—a girl with mysterious powers—and confronts Major Kenneth Slegger from the Earth Federation. Their destinies intertwine in what is being hailed as the most intense human drama ever told within the Gundam series.
In today’s unveiled teaser, Hathaway struggles to suppress his feelings for Gigi while continuing his mission as a Mafty member; meanwhile, Slegger prepares to annihilate Mafty. The mysterious girl Gigi becomes the key that links their fates—revealing complex interpersonal dynamics among them.

Worldwide Voting Campaign “Global ‘Gundam’ Grand Election 2025” Now Live!
To commemorate the launch of “GUNDAM Official Website,” this is the first-ever global voting campaign officially sponsored by the Gundam series, available in 10 languages (1).
From among mobile suits featured in all Gundam anime works hosted on the site—including those from the Universal Century and Alternate Series (2)—voters will select each work’s representative “Gundam-type” unit (3) or any mobile suit bearing the name “Gundam” (4). Voting is open to one vote per person, per day, for their favorite Gundam until 11:59 PM JST on December 25 (Thursday).
Voting results from around the world will be compiled into individual language rankings and a global ranking. Additionally, the top-ranked Gundam will receive an exclusive new illustration created specifically for this event.

＜STORY＞
U.C. 0105 — Twelve years after the Char’s Rebellion.
The movement “Mafty” begins resisting the oppressive Earth Federation Government through assassinations of high-ranking officials. The true identity of its leader? Hathaway Noa, son of Bright Noa who fought alongside Amuro Ray in the One Year War.
Hathaway is reminded of past trauma upon encountering Gigi Andalsia, a girl with mysterious powers. Despite being emotionally manipulated by her words, he continues advancing Mafty’s mission—preparing for an attack on the Adelaide Conference…
Meanwhile, Major Kenneth Slegger, who devised the cover operation for the Adelaide Conference, prepares to eliminate Mafty—but receives a secret proposal from Houndley Yoksan of the Criminal Police Agency.
As Hathaway and Slegger act in pursuit of their respective goals, Gigi too departs on her own journey—toward Hong Kong—to fulfill her role.
