Yostar today (October 10, 2025) officially announced the collaboration character from the battle-style mahjong game “Mahjong Soul -Jantama-” (BROWSER/PC/iOS/Android) and the TV anime “Gintama” — the mahjong player “Sakata Gintoki” (CV: Tomokazu Sugita).

Sakata Gintoki, the protagonist of Gintama, is a leader of an “anything-for-hire” business who will do anything he’s asked. Once a renowned anti-foreigner warrior and feared as the “White Night Star,” a master swordsman of legendary status — though today he only uses a wooden sword. In the released image, the figure of the White Night Star is also visible in the background, suggesting it might appear as a skin.
The collaboration with Gintama is scheduled to run from October 22 to November 22, and an anime promotional video has already been released.
