At AYANEO’s booth during Tokyo Game Show 2025, the company showcased its latest product in the portable Android gaming device lineup—a focus area where they’ve recently been investing significant effort. Most notable at the booth was KONKR, a newly launched sub-brand from AYANEO, introducing its first product: KONKR Pocket FIT.

Among AYANEO’s previous products, top-tier models like the AYANEO 3 and AYANEO Pocket S2 have been distinguished by their use of high-quality materials, which sometimes made them appear relatively expensive compared to competing products.
In response to this market situation, AYANEO launched the new brand KONKR. According to AYANEO, while continuing to pursue excellence and innovation for users seeking premium performance, KONKR aims to deliver more affordable devices with strong cost-performance ratios—targeting a broader audience.
KONKR’s first product, the KONKR Pocket FIT, on display at TGS 2025, is scheduled to be followed by a second model: KONKR FIT, which will feature Windows operating system.
Here, it’s worth noting that AYANEO is now prioritizing Android gaming handhelds over Windows-based PCs. Originally known for developing portable gaming PCs with the Windows OS, AYANEO has recently shifted focus toward expanding its lineup of portable Android gaming devices. The company explains they continue to work on PC products while aiming to tap into the rapidly growing mobile gaming market.
Android gaming handhelds can generally be offered at lower prices than Windows PCs, making them a natural fit for KONKR’s concept.
The centerpiece of this year’s exhibition, KONKR Pocket FIT, is a portable Android gaming device featuring a 6-inch display with a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels and a maximum refresh rate of up to 144Hz.

On the crowdfunding platform Indiegogo, a campaign has already launched. The standard model featuring Qualcomm’s Snapdragon G3 Gen 3 SoC is priced from $299 (approximately ¥44,600), while the higher-end version with the Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC starts at $329 (approximately ¥49,000). In comparison, the AYANEO Pocket S2 begins at $499 (approximately ¥75,000)—making KONKR Pocket FIT significantly more affordable.

Compared to the slim AYANEO Pocket S2, KONKR Pocket FIT adopts a more conventional design typical of portable Android gaming handhelds. Made with resin materials for its casing, it feels lighter and easier to handle than the metal-bodied AYANEO Pocket S2.

The cooling system combines an air-cooling fan with a large copper heat plate, ensuring stable performance even under high-end SoC loads. At the booth, it was demonstrated running Genshin Impact at maximum graphics settings—air exiting from the exhaust vents wasn’t excessively hot.
Gamepads on either side of the display use an asymmetric Xbox-style layout for left and right analog sticks. Both analog sticks and trigger buttons employ magnetic Hall-effect sensors—a common configuration in portable gaming PCs and Android handhelds.

While the AYANEO Pocket S2 uses TMR (Tunneling Magnetoresistance) sticks to suppress analog stick drift, slight differences in design and build quality are noticeable here.
According to Tiankong, a distributor handling AYANEO products, KONKR Pocket FIT is also expected to be available in Japan. The official release date and pricing will be announced later.
Additionally, the AYANEO booth displayed another recently unveiled product: AYANEO Pocket AIR Mini, aimed at entry-level markets. This device features a 4.2-inch display with a resolution of 1280×960 pixels and a 4:3 aspect ratio, powered by MediaTek’s Helio G90T SoC—its standout feature being the price point of just $69.99 (approximately ¥10,460).

Compared to existing models like the AYANEO Pocket Micro, this device may not match in build quality or tactile feel—but with many affordable Android gaming handhelds entering the market recently, interest in AYANEO Pocket AIR Mini is expected to grow. According to Tiankong, domestic availability in Japan is scheduled for winter 2025.
