Arc System Works has launched the release of Absolum, a side-scrolling action game, on October 9, 2025, for PC (Steam), PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation 4. The price is 2,970 yen (tax included). Physical editions for PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch are scheduled to be released on November 6, 2025.

Absolum is an action game developed by French studio DotEmu, known for creating Streets of Rage IV. It fuses high-speed side-scrolling gameplay with addictive roguelike mechanics. The story takes place in the collapsing nation of Taram, ravaged by disaster and ruled under tyranny by the Sun King Azura. Amidst chaos, a sorceress named Uchawi rises to lead a rebellion. Players take control of heroes who were exiled due to conspiracy, utilizing various abilities to fight back against Azura.
