OIGS2025 attracted a cumulative 4,529 attendees across its two-day run. The event featured the official public exhibition of selected game titles chosen from numerous applicants, along with diverse stage programs, a special联动 (coordinated) project with FM802, and limited-edition giveaways—all drawing crowds of all ages. The newly opened conference hall hosted an impressive lineup of 120 handpicked game titles. Despite high foot traffic, the spacious and well-designed venue allowed visitors to enjoy gameplay comfortably without feeling overcrowded. A significant number of attendees came from the Kansai and Western Japan regions; additionally, due to its direct connection with Umeda Station, many family groups were present. Given Osaka’s status as host city for the World Expo, international visitors were also notably visible, contributing to a vibrant, globally diverse atmosphere.

On October 4 (Saturday), Business Day hosted a talk session titled “What Should Be Done to Expand Your IP?” featuring Tetsu Kawakatsu, CEO of Puchi Depot, and Shunji Mizutani of PLAYISM. The discussion covered real-world examples including film and anime adaptations, offering concrete insights into expanding game IPs across multiple platforms—generating strong interest among indie industry professionals.

Following this was the session “Solving Real Concerns of Aspiring Creators,” featuring Shūhei Yoshida (former Head of SIE Indies Initiative) alongside active creators. Practical advice tailored to real challenges faced by young developers was shared in a unique, exclusive setting that sparked intense audience engagement and filled the venue with excitement.

On October 5 (Sunday), Public Day featured two live recordings jointly produced with FM802, offering special moments combining artist talks and performances. Furthermore, the finals of the competitive RTS game Jelly Troops—“Jelly Troops Osaka Championship! Gather, Slime Masters!”—featured appearances by popular artists MAH (SiM), Kei Nagai, and DJs from FM802. The intense match was streamed live on YouTube, creating widespread excitement both at the venue and online.
