Kepler Interactive and Sandfall Interactive today (October 8, 2025) announced that the RPG “Clair Obscur: Expedition 33” has achieved sales of over 5 million copies worldwide.
Additionally, the game’s emotionally powerful soundtrack composed by Lorien Testard has surpassed 333 million streams across digital music platforms since its release. It also remained at No. 1 on the Billboard Classical & Classical Crossover Album chart for more than ten weeks and reached the top of the iTunes Top 100 Albums Chart in nine countries, including France—the home country of the development studio.
In celebration of this remarkable success and as a token of gratitude to fans, it has been revealed that a major update containing multiple new features is currently in development. The upcoming update will introduce a brand-new playable location for the characters of Expedition 33, new challenging boss battles to overcome later in the game, and fresh costumes for the expedition team.

Today, French indie game studio Sandfall Interactive and publisher & creative studio Kepler Interactive announced that “Clair Obscur: Expedition 33” has surpassed 5 million sales since its April 2025 release across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam, Epic Games Store, GOG).
Furthermore, the game’s moving soundtrack composed by Lorien Testard has achieved over 333 million streams on digital music platforms since launch. It also held the No. 1 position on Billboard’s Classical & Classical Crossover Album chart for more than ten weeks and reached No. 1 on the iTunes Top 100 Albums Chart in nine countries, including France—the home country of the game studio.
In celebration of this major milestone, Sandfall Interactive and Kepler Interactive have today announced that a new major update—including multiple additional features—is currently in development as a heartfelt “thank you” to fans who have supported the game. The upcoming free update across all platforms will include the following additions:
- New playable area – A fresh location for Expedition 33’s characters to explore, featuring new enemies and discoveries.
- Challenging new boss – An additional major boss battle designed for players to overcome in the later stages of the game.
- New expedition team costumes – Additional customization options for players throughout their journey.
- Expanded language support – Addition of Czech, Ukrainian, Latin American Spanish, Turkish, Vietnamese, Thai, and Indonesian, bringing total supported languages to 19.
- And more surprises planned specifically for our fans.
