A new chapter set in the Kingler Forest and a brand-new area inspired by the film Avatar: Fire and Ash will be introduced. Experience deeper immersion with third-person gameplay that brings you closer to the world of Pandora.

In this expansion, players are drawn once again into the Western Frontier region—including the newly added area—to experience an intense new story centered on revenge and survival. The release coincides with the theatrical debut of Avatar: Fire and Ash, delivering another thrilling adventure for all Avatar fans.

“From the Ashes,” developed through a collaboration between Ubisoft’s studio Massive Entertainment, Lightstorm Entertainment, and Disney, casts players as Sore, a powerful Na’vi warrior from the Turoong clan. After being ambushed by the cruel Ash tribe—now allied with RDA—and left for dead, Sore awakens to find his world reduced to ash and all he once called family scattered. Driven by grief and vengeance, Sore sets out on a journey to reunite with loved ones and fight to protect his allies.

Omar Bouali, Creative Director at Massive Entertainment, said:

“With this expansion, ‘From the Ashes,’ we wanted to push the boundaries of what players can experience on Pandora. This installment features a darker, more character-focused narrative, enhanced immersion through both first-person and third-person perspectives, and introduces a fresh, intense combat system with deep strategic elements. We’re excited to offer fans a new thrilling perspective set in the Western Frontier—backed by a richer story and powerful gameplay.”

Joshua Izzo, Executive Vice President of Franchise Development at Lightstorm Entertainment, added:

“Through our partnership with Massive Entertainment, we’ve been able to boldly expand the Avatar universe through Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora. This new expansion, ‘From the Ashes,’ launches on the same day as the theatrical release of Avatar: Fire and Ash, showcasing a darker side of Pandora and introducing the powerful Ash tribe. We’re thrilled that fans will now be able to experience untold stories through an interactive adventure.”
