“The Farb Manga Build Roguelike” is the first video game adaptation of “The Farb,” a best-selling manga from Weekly Young Magazine that has sold over 28 million copies and was adapted into both live-action film (starring Junya Ogata) and anime. This unique title fuses manga, tactical puzzle, and roguelike elements with flexible thinking, meticulous strategy, and stylish action animations rendered in pixel art.

The game features a unique “Manga Construction Battle” system: each turn, players place “cells” on the page to determine commands and actions. Each cell has distinct effects such as attack, ranged strike, movement, or defense, and they activate in order from top-right to bottom-left. Success hinges on accurately assessing each cell’s effect, shape, and activation sequence.

Victory requires eliminating all enemies within a time limit. Taking damage causes the page to “tear,” reducing available placement area for the next turn—requiring constant strategic balance between offense and defense. This game challenges players’ “wisdom and ingenuity.” Arrange your cells wisely, craft the optimal single panel, and defeat your foes!

The demo includes playable content for Akira in Normal Mode among the three characters (Akira, Yoko, and Suzuki) featured in the full game. It also features part of the high-difficulty “Puzzle Mode,” where players must defeat all enemies within one page (one turn). Challenge it using your wisdom and creativity!

“MOCHI-O” is a post-apocalyptic defense adventure in which players raise Mochi—a weapon resembling a hamster—to protect their country. While Mochi looks like a hamster, it’s actually a handheld anti-invasion device. Despite its adorable appearance, it carries various weapons and clears enemy forces attacking the city. Your mission as a caretaker is to watch over, nurture, and grow Mochi in order to defend your nation from external threats.

The main gameplay consists of tower defense and character cultivation (and of course, spoiling Mochi!). Aim at enemies to attack, earn experience points by collecting “seeds,” upgrade Mochi’s skills, and gain tactical advantages in battle.

By spending money and seeds earned in battle, players can strengthen Mochi or acquire advantageous weapons for future fights. Before deployment, you can pet Mochi to temporarily boost its stats! The gentle banter between characters outside combat is another highlight of this title.

The demo includes early story segments, stages, and a portion of the greeting section where interaction with Mochi increases. Experience the game’s satisfying feel and the unique atmosphere of this “gentle post-apocalyptic world.”
