Game developer AlleyInn announced on October 6, 2025, that the PC software “[Darurakami Higurashi]” will be released on October 16. The price is 350 yen (tax included).
This game is a chaotic-style horror-comedy heavily influenced by the manga “Gag Manga Hiyobi.” It features one ending and lasts approximately 30 minutes of gameplay.
The protagonist, Takumi, is a exorcist who aims to blast away curses from haunted houses. Simply bring a “curse-blasting item” to the shrine within the haunted house—but be careful not to become overly cursed, or you’ll end up in an evil spirit paradise.
The protagonist is accompanied by a mischievous spirit, “Ryujii,” who constantly chatters away. Paying attention to his trivial ramblings might just reveal clues for survival.
This game features plenty of startling moments, but also includes an abundance of racy jokes and vulgar expressions equivalent to those found in shonen manga. As a result, the screen is so heavily pixelated that it reportedly failed Steam’s review process twice.
Additionally, prior permission isn’t required for video uploads or live streaming, and monetization is allowed.

I’m pleased to announce that the release date for my currently developed PC (Steam) horror-comedy game, Darurakami Higurashi, has been confirmed.

Thank you very much for covering our previous Steam store page announcement. For this official release, we’ve completely overhauled the presentation, dialogue, and visuals to make it faster-paced and more exhilarating than before.
Development Insights
This game contains an exceptionally high number of racy jokes and vulgar expressions comparable to those in shonen manga. Reading “Gag Manga Hiyobi” led me all the way through Gintama, which had a direct influence on this project. As a result, the screen became so heavily pixelated that Steam gave us two rejections with valid feedback—“This isn’t suitable for all ages.” I’m truly embarrassed.
I’m confident this game will generate plenty of reactions from players in many different ways.
