Twice Different today (October 7, 2025) announced a major update to the demo version of its upcoming game Winnie’s Hole, coinciding with the Steam Next Fest event.
This game is a horror roguelite inspired by the 1926 children’s novel Winnie-the-Pooh by A.A. Milne, which has entered the public domain.

In the game, players take on the role of a pathogen hidden within Pooh’s body. By capturing cells and triggering mutations, you gradually invade Pooh’s system, transforming him into an alien-like monster. However, your goal isn’t to destroy his body—it’s to survive by parasitizing it.
The full release is scheduled for 2026, with the Steam store page confirming support for Japanese language.

The newly updated demo includes several enhancements based on community feedback: new mutation (Mutations) actions and parks have been added, combat rewards and progression systems have been significantly revised. Additionally, improvements to art assets, user interface design, controller support, and compatibility with the Steam Deck have also been announced.

On October 7, 2025, Twice Different (based in Melbourne, Australia) announced a major update to the demo version of its horror roguelite game “Winnie’s Hole”, timed for Steam Next Fest.

You play as a pathogen hidden within Pooh’s body, capturing cells and spreading viruses to trigger mutations in your host. Combine cell blocks like puzzle pieces to unleash powerful combos—without killing Pooh. It offers addictive gameplay with deep strategic layers, far beyond mere shock value.
The new demo version introduces fresh actions and parks based on community suggestions, improves accessibility through controller and Steam Deck support, making the game more enjoyable than ever.
