Rogueside announced today (October 7, 2025) that its upcoming PC title, Devil Jam, will be released on November 3. However, due to time zone differences, the release date listed on Steam’s store page is November 4.

The game follows a man who made a pact with demons and performs his “ultimate gig” in Hell using a cursed instrument against monsters. While it’s unclear whether the protagonist was ever part of a metal band, the background music features heavy metal tracks.

The game system is a typical Vancouvers-like style, where players automatically attack waves of enemies at regular intervals. What sets it apart is its music-centric theme: players can customize the timing of their attacks to match the beat.

The grid displayed below the screen represents one bar’s worth of attacks. Players place skills they acquire during gameplay into these cells. For example, placing four skills side by side allows different attacks on each of the four beats.

Some skills enhance adjacent ones (up/down/left/right), so strategic placement based on your enhancement strategy becomes essential. Since acquired skills are randomized, plans don’t always go as intended—but struggling with such unpredictability may be part of what makes this game fun.
