Hoshino Shobo announced on October 7, 2025, that it will release the second official recipe book for The Promise of the Wizard, titled “The Memorable Recipes of Wizards,” on December 1, and has begun accepting pre-orders. The price is 2,750 yen (tax included).

This is the second installment in the official recipe book series for the smartphone app The Promise of the Wizard, developed by coly. It includes recipes connected to wizards, as well as newly added dishes from popular April Fools’ events. Additionally, readers can enjoy original character commentary written specifically for this volume by Bunta Toshimi, the main scenario writer.

The second official recipe book for the hit game with over 7 million downloads, The Promise of the Wizard, will be released on December 1st! The first volume achieved record-breaking success with four printings.

Pre-orders have begun for the second installment in the official recipe books that allow fans to dive deeper into the world of Mahoyaku. Published by Hoshino Shobo and set for release on December 1, it features recipes recreated from in-game dishes, along with original character commentary written exclusively by main scenario writer Bunta Toshimi.

The beloved social mobile game The Promise of the Wizard (commonly known as “Mahoyaku”), developed by coly, has won widespread acclaim through its intricate character psychology and rich storytelling. It is a cultivation-style game that connects players with their wizard characters. The game has surpassed 7 million downloads and celebrated six years since its launch in November this year.

The first volume, The Secret Recipes of Wizards (Hoshino Shobo, 2023), which compiled recipes for recreating in-game dishes using accessible ingredients and cooking methods, quickly became a viral sensation on social media upon pre-order launch. It sold out initially and has since gone through four printings.

This second volume, The Memorable Recipes of Wizards, includes not only recipes tied to the wizards but also newly added dishes from popular April Fools’ events. It features original character commentary by main scenario writer Bunta Toshimi.
