On September 25, 2025, TiMi Studio Group held the stage event “Producers’ Live: The Frontlines of Hunting Island” at the Level Infinite booth during Tokyo Game Show 2025.
During this event, Huang Dong, a producer from TiMi Studio Group, and Ayane Motooki, a producer from Capcom, took the stage to unveil the latest information on their upcoming smartphone app, Monster Hunter Outlanders (iOS / Android).

This game is a hunting action title currently being developed by TiMi Studio Group, Tencent’s primary studio, under license from Capcom for the Monster Hunter franchise. Designed to optimize the Monster Hunter system specifically for mobile devices, it allows players to enjoy hunting on their smartphones with ease.
A closed beta test is scheduled to begin in November 2025, and applications are currently being accepted via the official website (external link).

After viewing the latest trailer, Huang Dong introduced the game’s world setting.

On the island of Isolercia, monsters known as “Luminous Beasts” exist—monsters whose appearance and abilities have been altered by a unique substance. These Luminous Beasts possess higher aggression and offensive power than their original forms and are prone to becoming violently enraged during hunts, according to Huang.

The rare mineral known as “Luminous Stone” influences both monsters and local residents. Ayane added that familiar monsters transformed into Luminous Beasts may surprise players with their new attacks—such as “Wait, they can do THIS?!” At TGS 2025’s demo version, players will be able to hunt the Luminous Beast forms of Pukei-Pukei and Rio Leos.

Additionally, an important detail is that player characters are called “Adventurers” rather than “Hunters.” According to Ayane, this reflects a gameplay focus on survival using various new mechanics—such as deploying equipment onto stages through crafting.

Adventurers are divided into two types: customizable protagonists with unique appearances and named Adventurer characters, each possessing their own distinct look. Huang introduced the female Adventurer character “Midori,” who wields a greatsword. She specializes in narrowly dodging monster attacks before countering with precision—her movements flowing smoothly and gracefully like someone playing an instrument.

These Adventurer characters can assist during hunts when player numbers are low and can also be controlled directly as the main playable character.

Adventurers fall into three categories: “Extreme Strike” (high-damage attacks), “Skilled Craft” (expert in crafting), and “Support” (capable of healing). The well-known “Omote Ailu” is linked to an Extreme Strike Adventurer, while new Omotes—“Omote Rutacon” for Skilled Craft and “Omote Medley” for Support—are joining the team.

The event also showcased the “Cooperative Technique,” where four Adventurers combine their strength. This new system activates when all team members attack the same body part at perfectly synchronized moments, dealing massive damage to monsters. Successfully coordinating with teammates may foster a deep sense of camaraderie.
