From today (September 25, 2025) to September 28 (with general public days on the 27th and 28th), the Tokyo Game Show 2025 is being held at Makuhari Messe in Chiba Prefecture. Numerous game developers, related companies, organizations, and pavilions from around the world are participating. One such exhibit is the Malaysia Pavilion, located at booth number 01-C17 in Hall 1.
This year marks the ninth consecutive appearance of the Malaysia Pavilion, organized by the Malaysian Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) and the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC). It serves as a platform to showcase the rapidly growing game and digital content industry in Malaysia. Nine studios and companies have joined this initiative.
The booth features a large display at its center showing videos and presentations from each participating studio, surrounded by demo stations and business meeting areas where visitors can directly interact with developers while experiencing new titles firsthand. On the first day of Business Day (September 25), the pavilion was bustling with visitors and influencers—creating an atmosphere as lively as a general public day.
Vibrant Booth Centered on a Large Display
The Malaysia Pavilion, now in its ninth year of participation, is led by MATRADE and MDEC to promote the expanding Malaysian game and digital content industry globally. Nine studios and companies are involved.
A large display sits at the center of the booth, showcasing video content and introductions from each studio. Around it are demo stations and business discussion spaces, creating an environment where visitors can directly engage with developers while experiencing new titles firsthand. On the first day of Business Day, the pavilion was packed with attendees and influencers—matching the energy typically seen during general public days.

Participating Studios and Featured Titles
Now, let’s introduce the nine studios representing this year’s Malaysia Pavilion and their featured titles.
· LES’ COPAQUE PRODUCTION (Les Copaque Production)
One of Malaysia’s leading animation studios, known for its 3D animated series featuring the national characters Upin & Ipin. Since its founding in 2005, it has produced numerous works for television, film, and streaming platforms.
This year’s exhibit is their official entry into game development—this studio’s first console-based 3D title: Upin & Ipin Universe. The game will be playable on PS5.

Founded in 2016 by five members, this studio transitioned from casual mobile games to horror game development in 2020. It has released two horror titles inspired by Japanese culture, with its second title “Chiyo” receiving strong acclaim and leading to a significant expansion of the studio.
Currently developing a new horror game titled yan魇: Parasomnia—a low-poly survival horror set in apartment complexes inspired by Southeast Asian architecture—the title is on display as playable at the booth.

· MAGNUS GAMES STUDIO (Magnus Games Studio)
A development team of around 40 members, working on both outsourced projects for major publishers and their own original titles.
The featured title is PROJECT SURVIVAL (tentative)—a survival crafting RPG set on a planet with diverse environments such as forests, mountains, and ruins. Players explore for resources and craft items to save the world. As previously reported, it is being developed under support from Shueisha Games’ “AMU” (Aamu) initiative, making this title particularly noteworthy due to its strong ties with Japan.

A studio based on Langkawi Island, Malaysia. Founded in 2017, it has gained international recognition through short animations and original IP-based works.
Its defining trait is a development philosophy centered around storytelling. The studio blends animation and games to express narratives. While its new project is still under production and not yet revealed at the booth, visitors can view promotional videos of previously created works.

A small studio with a strong focus on narrative depth and world-building. The featured title is the original city-building simulation The HELL: City Builder Of The Dead, set in Hell.
Players manage resources in Hell while controlling souls that continuously flow in, dealing with “Hell Beasts” based on the Seven Deadly Sins. Each stage presents unique challenges, merging a distinctive world-building concept with city-building gameplay—a highly demanding and innovative title. Early access is scheduled to begin October 24.
Steam “The HELL: City Builder Of The Dead”
· KADEAU (Kadeau)
Not a game studio, but a company specializing in event production and experiential branding. They provide end-to-end services from concept to 3D design, fabrication, and operation.
They’ve previously handled CAPCOM’s pop-up store events in Malaysia and have collaboration experience with international IPs. Known for their strength in corporate exhibitions and permanent displays, they are gaining attention as a key player supporting storytelling through immersive experiences.

This year’s booth features showcases of Fuloso’s 3D characters and cinematic productions.
