Hello everyone, readers of 4Gamer. This is RENE, a hobby trainer for Umamusume.
With October now underway and the intense summer heat finally calming down, how are all you trainers doing these days? I’ve been completely swamped with coverage duties from the recent “Tokyo Game Show 2025”, working nonstop throughout September.
Moreover, I’ll be going on a short overseas trip in November, so I’m already researching ways to play Umamusume abroad…!! It seems using a VPN might actually work? Given that this new training scenario has just been released, it’s absolutely impossible for me to skip playing now.
With all of that in mind, here is the 16th installment of this monthly series where we highlight notable news from within and outside “Umamusume Pretty Derby” (iOS / Android / PC). Whether you’re an active Umamusume trainer or someone who hasn’t touched the game lately, I hope you enjoy this update!
The second season of “Umamusume Cinderella Gray” premieres on October 5 at 16:30!
Of course, we can’t skip covering the major recent news: the second season of “Umamusume Cinderella Gray” premieres on October 5 at 16:30!
The official key visual and main PV were revealed during last week’s special program, “Paka Live TV Vol.57.”
The setting of the PV is the international GI race, “Japan Cup.” We see Japan’s top Umamusume like Oguri Cap, Tama Mo Cross, alongside representatives from other countries such as Tonbi Anka and Obeyu Master, creating an atmosphere that promises intense competition. Since this Japan Cup arc was considered a legendary episode in the original story, I’m already counting down to October 5—this second season has me incredibly excited!
Additionally, the opening theme song will be the new track “Sparta Syndrome” by 10-FEET, and their official comment video about the song has also been released.
Also confirmed is a collaboration between this title and the TBS Sunday drama series “The Royal Family.” A brand-new original illustration of an Umamusume inspired by the racehorse “Royal Hope,” appearing in the drama, has been unveiled alongside Oguri Cap.
Plans are also underway for a collaborative event at Brunch Park—stay tuned for further updates!
New training scenario “Gokuraku♪ Yukoma Hot Spring Town” announced! This time, the setting is… a hot spring?!
During last week’s “Paka Live TV Vol.57,” the new training scenario “Gokuraku♪ Yukoma Hot Spring Town” was also announced.
The key visual has been revealed, showing two characters who appear to be newcomers, along with recognizable figures such as Toukai Teio, Mihono Bourbon, Hokko Taramae, Transcend, and Wonder Acute.
Based on the usual pattern, it’s highly likely these Umamusume will serve as scenario-linked characters—great news for fans of those particular horses! Also notable is that this new scenario features a relatively high number of dirt racers.
Support Card level system to be removed!? Implementation set to begin October 7
Another significant game update worth noting is the removal of the Support Card level system. Along with this, Support Points (SP) used to increase support levels will also be eliminated.
What does this mean in practice? Players will now only need to consider how many times a card has been maxed out—its performance automatically adjusts accordingly. Without any enhancement, it’ll match the stats of its current level 30 state; one star upgrade corresponds to level 35; and full maxing aligns with level 50’s performance. The term “maximize” will even be renamed to “Performance Unlock.”
This change is likely a welcome adjustment for new players, as gathering Support Points used to be extremely difficult in the past. As an old-timer like me, I’ve accumulated so many SP that they’re now practically useless!
“6th EVENT The New Frontier” Autumn Performance finally set for October 18–19!
The live event “6th EVENT The New Frontier” Autumn Performance will finally take place this month on October 18 and 19—same venue as the spring show, Saitama Super Arena.
Since I won’t be attending in person, I plan to purchase a streaming ticket. Information regarding these tickets has already been released; please check the images below for details. Attendees who bought physical entry tickets will also receive discounts.
Details have also been announced for on-site activities: the “Animate Café Pop-up Shop” and the “Real Gacha Corner.” Additionally, information about the event “LIVE DAM WAO! Complete Derby” has been revealed.
As obvious as it may sound—attendees at the live venue should definitely check out these details!
