Pokémon has announced a special event to coincide with the release of Pokémon LEGENDS Z-A (available on Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch) at SHIBUYA TSUTAYA’s first floor, running from October 16 to 19, 2025.
The event will feature a space designed to immerse visitors in the game’s world, where attendees can also try out gameplay. The exhibit includes dynamic changes based on time of day.
During the daytime show (9:00–16:20), guests can enjoy a venue decorated with a “Wild Zone” theme and experience exploring the Wild Zone during daylight hours while battling a runaway Mega Utsubot.

In the evening show (17:00–21:30), a venue decorated with a “Battle Zone” theme will be available. Attendees can explore the Wild Zone at night and participate in a local 4-player online battle called “Z-A Battle Club.”

Limited-time event at SHIBUYA TSUTAYA starting October 16!
Shibuya becomes a Pokémon-themed wonderland centered around SHIBUYA TSUTAYA!
Pokémon Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Tsuneharu Ishihara) will release the latest installment in the Pokkēmon series, Pokémon LEGENDS Z-A, for Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 on October 16, 2025. In conjunction with this launch, a limited-time space celebrating the game’s world will open at SHIBUYA TSUTAYA’s first floor from October 16 to 19. Visitors can enjoy immersive exhibits that reflect the game’s unique atmosphere and try out gameplay. The exhibit features dynamic transformations based on time of day—mirroring how the city appears different in daytime versus nighttime within the game itself. A large-scale decoration for Pokémon LEGENDS Z-A will be displayed across the store’s walls, while Pokémon characters gather at SHIBUYA TSUTAYA to help celebrate the release. Please keep an eye out!

In the city of Miare City, where Pokémon LEGENDS Z-A is set, “Wild Zones” exist throughout the urban landscape—areas designed to promote coexistence between humans and Pokémon. These zones are maintained using cutting-edge technology and are home to wild Pokémon that players can battle or capture with Poké Balls.

■ About “Mega Wild” Evolution
In Miare City, an anomaly known as “Mega Wild” evolution has been discovered—wild Pokémon undergoing uncontrolled Mega Evolutions. While normal Mega Evolution requires a trainer to hold a Mega Stone and have strong bond with their Pokémon, some Pokémon in Miare City are suffering from this “Mega Wild” state and violently rampage. Work together with allies to battle and calm down these wild-evolving Pokémon.

Enjoy a venue decorated in the style of a “Battle Zone.” During this time, guests can experience Pokémon LEGENDS Z-A with unique gameplay—exploring the Wild Zone at night and participating in live online 4-player battles called “Z-A Battle Club.” Additionally, real-time commentary will be provided during matches, creating an intense atmosphere so even those not playing can feel the excitement of the event.

At night, red holographic barriers appear across Miare City, forming a “Battle Zone”—a high-tech arena where trainers battle each other daily from sunset to dawn in an event called “ZA Royal.”

■ About the 4-player online battle “Z-A Battle Club”
“Z-A Battle Club” is the name for multiplayer battles in Pokémon LEGENDS Z-A. Compete in real-time with up to four players using a blend of fast-paced combat and action. The goal is to defeat as many Pokémon as possible within the time limit, ranking from 1st to 4th place based on total captures.
