This is an immersive first-person horror game based on the anime Ito Junji’s “Maniac,” which premiered on Netflix in January 2023 and aired from July 7 to September 22, 2024, on TOKYO MX.
Players awaken as a memory-loss college student inside a mansion, joined by a beautiful girl who claims she’s also trapped, along with a female detective investigating the incident. The only clues they have are a broken smartphone and fragmented memories.

As players explore, eerie phenomena from the original work appear—such as the “Hanging Balloon” and the “Rampaging Black Hair”—driving the protagonist toward despair. The game delivers intense suspense through hiding from threats, while also allowing players to overcome life-or-death situations by setting traps or cleverly using items on hand.

The game also features puzzle-solving elements that require strong logic and observational skills, as players uncover long-hidden secrets deep within the mansion.
Softstar Entertainment, the developer behind this title, previously adapted the Taiwan-originated horror film Jukai into a video game.
