Today (October 1, 2025), Xbox Game Studios has released the “Hairy and Scary” update for “Grounded 2”, developed by Obsidian Entertainment and Eidos Montréal. This update includes Japanese language support.

This survival game is currently in early access. Players shrink to the size of a grain of rice and embark on adventures across familiar backyards and parks.

In the “Hairy and Scary” update, a new boss arrives: the giant tarantula “AXL” (Axel). Additionally, weapons, armor, and furniture crafted from Axel’s materials have been added to the game.

Other improvements include enhancements to the building system and the buggy’s pouch. The game now also supports Japanese and Brazilian Portuguese.
