Bandai Namco Entertainment today (October 2, 2025) released the latest installment in the Digimon Story RPG series: Digimon Story: Time Stranger for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. The PC version is scheduled for release on October 3.
To mark the release, a launch trailer has been unveiled. A special prize campaign is also underway, offering a chance to win signed art cards and other premium prizes.
Additionally, it has been announced that a short animated prequel to the game, “Digimon Story: Time Stranger Prelude,” will be released soon. A preview clip is already available ahead of the official release.
This game is the first new title in the Digimon Story RPG series in approximately 10 years. Players take on the role of an agent for ADAMAS, a secret organization specializing in investigating paranormal phenomena, embarking on adventures between Tokyo in the human world and the alternate realm known as Digital World Ilios.
Players can raise over 450 Digimon, making it the series’ largest roster to date. The game features turn-based battles that emphasize strategic team composition.
