The CEO of Vantage Studios will be jointly held by Charlie Guillemot and Christophe Derennes. Christophe Derennes co-founded Ubisoft’s Montreal studio in 1997 and most recently served as Managing Director for North America.
Guillemot began his career in the gaming industry in 2014 at Owlient, a studio acquired by Ubisoft, where he contributed significantly to mobile game development. He returned to Ubisoft in 2025 and is also a member of the Transformation Committee.
Ubisoft plans to establish additional studios in the future, grouping brands and franchises under unified management. The company aims to increase developers’ autonomy and shorten the process from player feedback collection to implementation.
Vantage Studios brings together thousands of experienced developers across locations including Montreal, Quebec, Sherbrooke, Saguenay, Barcelona, and Sofia—many of whom have worked on Ubisoft’s largest-scale game productions.
