Sony Interactive Entertainment today (October 2, 2025) released the PlayStation 5 game Ghost of Yōtei. The standard edition is available as a physical disc or digital download for ¥8,980 each, the Digital Deluxe Edition is priced at ¥9,980, and the Collector’s Edition costs ¥31,980 (all prices include tax).

This game is an “open-world period action adventure” developed by Sucker Punch Productions, the studio behind Ghost of Tsushima and the inFamous series.

Set in 1603 Ezo (modern-day Hokkaido), it follows Atsu—a female warrior whose family was murdered by the outlaw gang known as the “Yōtei Six”—as she pursues her enemy through a vast, dynamic world that builds on the open-world design introduced in Ghost of Tsushima. Players can enjoy intense combat using swords, chain sickles, and matchlock guns, along with Atsu’s compelling personal journey.

The Japanese voice cast includes Fairy Aoi (as Atsu), Park Rumi (as Osu), and Tomokazu Sugita (as Spider). The game features full Japanese lip-syncing in its cinematic scenes, ensuring natural dialogue delivery that enhances immersion.

Ghost of Yōtei is an open-world period action adventure developed by Sucker Punch Productions, the studio behind the globally successful Ghost of Tsushima. For this title, the team selected 1603 Ezo (Hokkaido) as their setting—a region far from mainstream history—where a female warrior named Atsu seeks vengeance after her family is killed by an outlaw gang known as the “Yōtei Six.” Players will journey across vast landscapes in this expansive world, featuring enhanced freedom and diversity compared to Ghost of Tsushima. Experience thrilling combat with swords, chain sickles, matchlock guns, and more—and follow Atsu’s bold new adventure.

Lead role of Atsu is voiced by Fairy Aoi, joined by a stellar lineup of Japanese voice actors. All in-game cutscenes feature full Japanese lip-syncing for seamless dialogue delivery.
