"Jantama: Mahjong Soul" Collaboration with TV Anime "Gintama" Announced. Further Updates to Be Revealed on Official X and In-Game Notices

Yostar today (October 2, 2025) announced a collaboration between the competitive mahjong game “Mahjong Soul - JanTama-” (BROWSER/PC/iOS/Android) and the TV anime “Gintama.”
The TV anime “Gintama” is an adaptation of the manga series serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump. It aired intermittently over a span of 13 years since its debut in 2006. Starting in October, a new animated adaptation based on the novel San-nen Z-gumi Gintai-sensei will also be broadcast.
Details such as timing and specific events will be announced in the future via the official X account of Mahjong Soul - JanTama- and within-game notifications.

[About the TV Anime “Gintama”]
A television and theatrical anime series based on the popular manga Gintama (by Hideaki Sorachi), which has sold over 73 million copies worldwide (including digital versions) in its comic book series, originally published in Weekly Shonen Jump by Shueisha.
The TV anime premiered in 2006 and aired intermittently for a total of 13 years. The theatrical films include Gintama: The Movie - New Saga - Red Sakura Arc (box office: ¥1.1 billion, 2011), Gintama: The Final Chapter – Always with You (written exclusively by author Hideaki Sorachi, box office: ¥1.7 billion, 2013), and the finale film Gintama THE FINAL (based on the original manga’s final arc, box office: ¥1.9 billion, January 2021)—all major hits!
Additionally, a new anime adaptation of the novel San-nen Z-gumi Gintai-sensei (author: Chinen Oozaki; original work by Hideaki Sorachi) is scheduled to air on TV Tokyo starting October 2025.
