Wargaming.net today (October 2, 2025) released major update 14.9 for the PC online naval action game World of Warships.
This update features the limited-time event “Liberty Harbor,” commemorating the 250th anniversary of the U.S. Navy, starting October 9. Players will follow a story in which a young naval officer rebuilds his childhood toy base—**“Liberty Harbor”—**and can construct and expand their own naval base within the game. As players progress through the narrative, they’ll unlock rewards such as the 250th Anniversary Navy Flag, American captain John Barry, permanent camo “Cobalt White,” permanent camo for Tier X U.S. battleship Montana named “Pacific Front,” and ultimately receive the Tier VIII American cruiser Bridgeport.

Additionally, during the shipyard event, completing all 35 construction stages will grant players the Tier X Pan-Asian destroyer Lüshun B, a black variant of an original vessel.
Furthermore, in celebration of German reunification day on October 3rd, a new event pass titled “Unity, Justice, Freedom” has launched. By progressing through the main track, players can earn rewards including captain Goldelse, permanent camo “Black Red Gold,” and permanent camo “Iron Cross” for IX F. Schultz. Unlocking the second progression path grants immediate access to captain Delphius Ora-cle, plus permanent camos “Hell” for Tier VIII and Tier X, and other prizes such as German Tier VI battleship P.E.Friedrich.

Wargaming is pleased to announce the launch of multiple new content updates in its popular PC online naval action game, World of Warships, developed and operated by the company. This includes a limited-time event titled “Liberty Harbor,” commemorating the 250th anniversary of the U.S. Navy. Players can build their own harbor while journeying through American naval history, construct new ships in the shipyard—where they can obtain the Tier X Pan-Asian destroyer Lüshun B (black variant)—and also participate in an event pass celebrating German reunification day.

U.S. Navy 250th Anniversary “Liberty Harbor” Event
Starting October 9, players will follow a story in which a young naval officer rebuilds his childhood toy base—“Liberty Harbor.” Within the game, they can construct and expand their own naval base. Players will progressively upgrade four areas: Naval Headquarters, Operations Command Center, Military Port, and Fuel Terminal. By completing special combat missions and expeditions linked to random battles, ranked matches, and operations, players earn “Naval Base Supply Resources.” As progress continues, rewards include the 250th Anniversary Navy Flag, American captain John Barry, permanent camo “Cobalt White,” permanent camo “Pacific Front” for Tier X U.S. battleship Montana, and ultimately receive the Tier VIII American cruiser Bridgeport. A special commemorative harbor honoring the U.S. Navy will be unlocked for all players.
New Tier X Pan-Asian Destroyer Lüshun B Enters Dry Dock
During the shipyard event, completing all 35 construction stages unlocks the Tier X Pan-Asian destroyer Lüshun B, a black variant of an original vessel. Equipped with four rapid-firing 130mm guns and ten torpedo launch tubes, it delivers strong firepower while leveraging excellent concealment for effective combat. Though mobility is somewhat limited, it benefits from consumables such as “Heavy Repair Party” and “Underwater Listening,” enhancing its survivability in intense battles and situational awareness.

To mark the 35th anniversary of German reunification on Friday, October 3rd, a new event pass titled “Unity, Justice, Freedom” has launched, offering rewards related to Germany.
