With this update, existing subscribers of the Xbox console plan “Game Pass Core” will automatically be upgraded to Essential, while those on “Game Pass Standard” will move to Premium.
The top-tier Ultimate plan now includes access to Fortnite Crew—which grants battle passes and 100 V-Bucks monthly (normally 1,320 yen/month)—and Ubisoft+ Classics, offering popular Ubisoft titles—all at no additional cost. EA Play remains included as before.

Fortnite Crew is positioned as the beginning of a collaboration between Epic Games and Xbox, aimed at creating an open gaming ecosystem where friends can play together across any device.
Additionally, Ubisoft+ Classics titles are now compatible with Microsoft’s cloud service, Xbox Cloud Gaming, allowing players to enjoy them on game consoles, smartphones, tablets, and other devices without downloads.
Meanwhile, Xbox Cloud Gaming has officially transitioned from beta testing into full public release. The feature that enables streaming of select non-Game Pass titles will be opened to all plans moving forward, with the library set to expand further in the future.

As a benefit for Ultimate subscribers, Xbox Cloud Gaming will deliver the highest-quality streaming with minimal wait times.
Furthermore, the Xbox Rewards program has been enhanced: points earned from gameplay now max out at 25,000 annually for Essential, 50,000 for Premium, and 100,000 for Ultimate. Note that one point is not equivalent to one yen; instead, points can be exchanged for various rewards based on their value.
For reference, a Microsoft Gift Card worth 1,200 yen currently costs 7,750 points.
According to Microsoft, Ultimate subscribers can earn up to $100 (approximately 14,500 yen) in annual Rewards points simply by playing games.
