Saroasis Studios is exhibiting its new-dimensional super-powered hero battle royale game, “Fate Trigger,” at the 2025 Tokyo Game Show, held from September 25 to 28 at Makuhari Messe.
With the PC version’s early access slated for early 2026, TGS offers a rare opportunity to try out this title firsthand. Many players visited the booth (Hall 3-C03), deeply engrossed in gameplay.

Additionally, a large stage at the center of the booth hosted various events daily. When I visited, it was cosplay show time—visually stunning cosplayers appeared as if they had stepped out from the game’s world itself. Observing them in real life allowed me to appreciate the fine details of their costumes and truly grasp the excellence of the character designs.
Next, let me share my impressions after actually playing. This time, I played Mindi, a skilled collector who serves as a “supporter” role—responsible for aiding allies. She is one of the new characters introduced during the closed beta test held from July to August (related article).

The game’s core flow follows the standard structure of typical battle royale shooters. First, you parachute anywhere on a vast map and enter buildings to collect weapons and items. As time passes, the safe zone shrinks, increasing encounters with enemies. Players fight relentlessly until only one team remains.

To be honest, I’ve generally struggled with battle royale shooters in the past. The need to quickly gather items without being attacked often left me overwhelmed—especially as a beginner unsure which items were beneficial.
For someone like me, the item collection system in Fate Trigger was incredibly helpful. Simply walking near dropped items automatically picks up what you need and equips them suitably. Without needing to read text, seeing your gear upgrade instantly makes it easy to recognize character progression—making game growth feel tangible.
When collecting large amounts of loot from defeated enemies, the system also auto-selects appropriate gear. While not necessarily optimal for advanced players, it’s definitely better than a beginner trying to decide on their own Image Gallery No.008 thumbnail / Introducing “Fate Trigger,” a fresh dimensional super-powered hero battle royale enjoyable even for beginners. Moreover, vehicle designs are striking. There were flying cars, fast vehicles, durable tanks, and portable bikes—each visually appealing with performance that matched their appearance, making them intuitive to understand.
I thought the color scheme looked like it could fly—and indeed, it did! On the other hand, some aspects weren’t fully clear during my first playthrough. Particularly Mindi’s main skill, “Secret Pass,” which teleports her after a brief preparation period—felt somewhat technical.

Currently, there are 10 characters, each with unique skill sets. With team composition and coordination adding depth, upper-level players will find countless layers of content to explore. The game is also planned for future eSports development.
Whether you’re already skilled in battle royale shooters or have never played them before, I highly recommend experiencing this title when its early access launches at the beginning of 2026.
