At the Tokyo Game Show, numerous peripheral manufacturers targeting gamers typically set up booths, but this year visitors noticed more of them moving around the venue. This article takes a closer look at AndGAMER’s prominent booth, highlighting notable new products on display.

AndGAMER is a Japanese peripheral manufacturer founded in 2020, operating three brands: “Void Gaming,” which offers highly customizable gamepads primarily for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4; “AIM1,” focused on products tailored for FPS gamers; and “VIZARD CLUB,” specializing in custom parts for Nintendo titles.
In August 2025, AndGAMER will open its first flagship store in Shibuya—enabling customers to touch and test the products firsthand.

This time, we spotlight Void Gaming’s PC gaming pad: GENESIS. GENESIS supports wireless connectivity via both proprietary technology and Bluetooth, as well as wired connection through USB Type-C.
It’s an ambitious product promising “competition-level performance” at an accessible price point—achieving rich functionality while maintaining a remarkably affordable price of ¥12,980 (tax included).
Pre-orders have already begun; those who order by October 12 will receive the product before year-end 2025.

GENESIS incorporates many current trends seen in modern gamepads. One example is the abundance of additional buttons. While back-mounted buttons are now commonplace, GENESIS features not only those but also extra shoulder buttons on its upper side and expansion buttons beneath the [A/B] buttons—allowing players to select button layouts that best suit their preferred games or grip styles.

In addition to back buttons, there are supplementary shoulder buttons as well. The positioning and size of back buttons often reflect manufacturers’ unique design approaches; GENESIS adopts relatively large back buttons. Furthermore, GENESIS includes F1 to F4 function keys beneath the analog sticks. These function keys can be assigned keyboard inputs or configured with shortcuts using the dedicated software.
Since many PC games involve keyboard commands, this feature may particularly appeal to gamers seeking enhanced customization.

The analog sticks follow a symmetrical PlayStation-style layout. As seen here, the abundance of expansion buttons—including the function keys under the sticks—is clear. The overall size is slightly smaller than that of DualSense. Image Gallery No.005 thumbnail / PC gaming pad “GENESIS” with abundant expansion buttons exhibited at the AndGAMER booth. Users can adjust settings such as trigger and analog stick dead zones, or disable specific buttons entirely. Image Gallery No.007 thumbnail / PC gaming pad “GENESIS” with abundant expansion buttons exhibited at the AndGAMER booth. Organic EL display also shown for upcoming release [TGS2025]

The analog sticks use TMR (Tunneling Magnetoresistance) technology to suppress drift, while the button switches employ durable microswitches with a crisp tactile feel—both reflecting recent industry trends.

Another notable feature is GENESIS’s support for an ultra-fast USB report rate of up to 2000Hz. Compared to standard 1000Hz products, this significantly reduces input lag. In practice, users typically notice a difference at double the polling rate and clearly perceive it when quadrupled.

Notably, GENESIS does not include vibration feedback—common in recent gamepads. While vibrations enhance immersion, they can also increase the risk of input errors, which is why they’re rarely used in esports titles. However, some games use vibrations to signal specific actions, making their importance vary by title.
As with many players, including myself, switching between different gamepads based on genre may be a practical approach.

New AIM1 mousepad and organic EL display also showcased at AndGAMER booth

Additionally, the AndGAMER booth featured two new products from the AIM brand: the “Thunder” gaming mousepad and the upcoming gamer-focused organic EL monitor, AIM 1 Display.

Thunder is a smooth-feeling, low-friction speed-oriented mousepad available in both hard-coated and soft-coated variants with differing surface treatments—offering players options based on their preferred play style.

Meanwhile, AIM1 Display is a 27-inch organic EL monitor boasting a maximum vertical refresh rate of 280Hz, an intermediate response time as fast as 0.03ms, and the ability to display content equivalent to a 24.5-inch screen.
