Borderlands 4 Reveals New Vault Hunter "C4SH," Scheduled for Early 2026 Release [TGS2025]

Today (September 28, 2025), 2K held the “Borderlands 4 TGS Special Stage: ‘Hahahaha Might Save the World!…Maybe’” at Tokyo Game Show 2025.
The stage featured Randy Pitchford, CEO of developer Gearbox Entertainment; actor Soeda Souta; comedienne Crystal Noda from Magikuru; streamer Suda Takki; and voice actress Honoka Kuroki, who voices Vex. They explored the appeal of the latest installment in the series, Borderlands 4, released on September 12.
First, Pitchford announced a new Vault Hunter: “C4SH,” scheduled for release as downloadable content (DLC) in early 2026.

C4SH was formerly a casino dealer before becoming a Vault Hunter. C4SH deeply understands the concept of betting on possibilities and how random fortune or misfortune can strike—essentially, “luck.” As such, this character could become either the strongest or weakest Vault Hunter depending solely on luck.
Pitchford is a professional poker player and also a magician at the pro level. To create C4SH, he personally filmed card-handling techniques to provide reference materials for animators.

Following this, a cooperative gameplay session was held by Souta Soeda, Crystal Noda, Suda Takki, and Honoka Kuroki. They successfully defeated the boss, Ripper Queen “Calis.”

At the end of the stage, Chitann☆, Psycho, and Mokshi unexpectedly appeared. Randy Pitchford also joined in a surprise appearance to perform the “Borderlands Workout.”
