2P Games showcased a demo version of their PC game The Flute Player at Dawn at Tokyo Game Show 2025.
This game is an economic simulation developed by Bone Nail, known for Yog Sototh’s Garden. Players take on the role of an alchemist who grows crops on a farm, processes them, and sells the finished goods from their own alchemy workshop.
Each individual task is light, but the process from production to sales is highly detailed—planting seeds, watering, harvesting, building facilities, processing materials, setting shelves, receiving inventory, and more. The graphics are clean and easy to understand, giving this management simulation a high overall quality.

Crop growth takes time, and any action advances the in-game clock. As a result, players often plant seeds and water them, then pass time playing a mineral collection mini-game before harvesting fully grown crops.
However, once players master the basic workflow, they end up repeating similar tasks to produce higher-tier goods—making it feel somewhat monotonous. The development team seems aware of this, as their Steam store page promotes the “Human Cultivation Project” (external link), which will allow players to grow workers on farms.
After playing for about 30 minutes, I didn’t see any feature related to planting humans, so it’s likely either not yet implemented or introduced later in the game. The demo followed a story that felt like a typical “beautiful girl slow life” experience, aside from discovering human bones in the field early on. This contrasts sharply with the grotesque image of a farm used for growing humans implied by the Human Cultivation Project.
There are many dialogue scenes, indicating this is a story-focused game. However, at present, translation quality is low, so the charm isn’t effectively conveyed. The visual impact is strong, and the game might appeal to a niche audience. That said, I personally appreciate the development team’s direction—beautiful girl slow life games are already common, so I hope they continue evolving toward something original. The core systems are already well-polished, and I look forward to seeing this become a truly unique title.
