The Computer Entertainment Suppliers Association (CESA) announced today (September 28, 2025) that the total attendance at this year’s Tokyo Game Show 2025, held at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, reached 263,101 visitors. The total viewership for official programs streamed during the event will be announced later.
Themed “An Infinite Playground You Can Never Fully Play,” Tokyo Game Show 2025 took place over four days from September 25 to 28 and concluded today at 4:30 PM. This year’s event featured participation from 1,136 companies and organizations across 47 countries and regions, making it the largest in history.
At the venue, new titles were unveiled for a wide range of platforms including home gaming consoles, smartphones, PCs, and VR systems, alongside exhibitions of related products, services, solutions, and merchandise.
On the event stage, various programs took place—including keynote speeches, the “Japan Game Awards 2025 Future Category Announcement & Award Ceremony,” and special lectures from the joint initiative between CESA, the Agency for Cultural Affairs, and the Japan Arts and Culture Promotion Association titled “Top Game Creators Academy.” Additionally, 21 official programs were streamed online, drawing strong engagement both in person and virtually.

Tokyo Game Show 2025, themed “An Infinite Playground You Can Never Fully Play,” featured participation from 1,136 companies and organizations across 47 countries and regions, surpassing last year’s record. At the Makuhari Messe venue, new titles for platforms ranging from home consoles to smartphones, PCs, and VR were unveiled, showcasing the expanding scope of the gaming industry through diverse related products, services, solutions, and merchandise.
On the event stage, a variety of programs were held—including keynote speeches, the “Japan Game Awards 2025 Future Category Announcement & Award Ceremony,” and special lectures from the joint initiative with the Agency for Cultural Affairs and the Japan Arts and Culture Promotion Association titled “Top Game Creators Academy.” These sessions offered valuable insights and discussions aimed at guiding young talent toward careers in the gaming industry.
