PLAION and Deep Silver today (September 29, 2025) unveiled the InEngine trailer for Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War IV, the latest installment in the real-time strategy (RTS) series set in the Warhammer 40,000 universe, during the online event “PC Gaming Show Tokyo Direct.”
This new entry follows the iconic Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War RTS series and portrays the Imperial Guard’s struggle against a new threat—the Necrons.
The released footage features in-game scenes captured directly from the company’s proprietary game engine. Viewers can witness Space Marines from the Blood Ravens chapter under attack by the Necrons during a battle with an Ork horde. Fans eager to see this emerging faction should definitely check it out.

Tokyo time: September 29, 2025 — During the “PC Gaming Show Tokyo Direct,” Deep Silver and KING Art Games officially released the first-ever InEngine trailer for Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War IV. This footage captures real-time gameplay from the development build using the game engine.
The “Back to War” InEngine trailer depicts the long-awaited return to the planet Kronos, several years after the events of Dawn of War: Dark Crusade.

This title fuses classic RTS combat with cinematic presentation. The beloved base-building mechanics return, enhanced by a “Combat Director” system that delivers dynamic animations and dramatic battle sequences across diverse biomes (terrain environments). Players will lead an epic campaign to reclaim the lost planet of Kronos.
◆Kronos Burns Again
Space Marines clash with massive Ork armies, while receiving support from the Adeptus Mechanicus in their mission to annihilate enemies. As victory nears, a new threat emerges—Necrons—overwhelmingly powerful forces that devastate the battlefield. The Imperial Guard must rise once more and reforge its army to stand against this relentless enemy.
This trailer was captured in real time from an active development build using the game engine, offering a glimpse into actual gameplay.
