The newly released footage showcases scenes unique to “Disney Twisted Wonderland The Animation,” featuring clips from iconic Disney films and the first public appearance of Hearts & Rubies dormitory students — making it a must-watch for fans.
The PV opens with original cinematic footage from classic Disney feature animations such as Alice in Wonderland, The Lion King, The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, Snow White, Hercules, and Sleeping Beauty. These are followed by visualizations of the villains who captivate audiences, along with the heads of the seven dorms at Night Raven College appearing in a dark mirror — truly an experience only possible within “Disney Twisted Wonderland.”
The story begins when high school student Enman Yuuken (CV: Yohei Aso) stumbles into the magical world of “
” and finds himself admitted to the prestigious magic academy, Night Raven College. Alongside a monster named Grim (CV: Kiichi Suga), who admires magicians, Yuuken lives in a rundown dormitory — only to unexpectedly get caught up in an internal conflict within Hearts & Rubies Dorm.
In the garden of Hearts & Rubies Dorm, a dazzling “Happy Birthday, No Big Deal” party is underway. As they greet visitors with dignity and authority, the dorm’s headmaster Riddle Roseheart (CV: Natsuki Hanae) makes his entrance. Memorizing all 810 rules from the <Queen of Hearts’ Rules>, he enforces them strictly — earning him the fearful title “Crimson Tyrant.”
The animation also features the first-ever full appearance of Hearts & Rubies students! New freshman Ace Trapola (CV: Seiichirou Yamashita), shocked that Yuuken doesn’t know about “the Queen of Hearts,” exclaims, “Who’s Jordan? I don’t even know who the Queen of Hearts is?” Meanwhile, fellow new student Deuce Spade (CV: Chikara Kobayashi) desperately clutches his head, saying, “I can’t possibly get expelled!” Kate Diamond (CV: Ryuunosuke Kobayashi), a third-year, displays cold loyalty by declaring, “If you’re staying in this dorm, you must follow the rules.” And Tray Clover (CV: Ryota Suzuki), the deputy headmaster and senior, kindly reassures his junior with, “Sorry for the trouble our dorm has caused.”
As Riddle grows increasingly frustrated with students breaking the rules, a pivotal incident causes him to finally lose control. He yells, “No arguing back — if you follow me, there’s no mistake!” His outburst leaves the students stunned. What drives his rigid adherence to rules? A single line — “I must be right; I have to be right” — reveals Riddle’s isolation and inner torment, deeply moving viewers. In the final scene, Riddle unleashes his unique magic: “Off With Your Head.” What will become of this incident?
Alongside the PV, the ending theme has been confirmed as “Obedience,” sung by Hearts & Rubies students — a track first released in March that sparked widespread discussion. Together with the opening theme “Piece of My World” (by Night Ravens), it will vividly enrich the animation’s world. Additionally, narration for this PV is provided by veteran voice actor Koichi Yamadera, who has voiced iconic roles such as Stitch (Lilo & Stitch), Genie (Aladdin), and Beast (Beauty and the Beast) in Japanese versions.
With the release just one month away, anticipation continues to build. Watch how Yuuken — a high schooler from our world — and Riddle — transformed into a tyrant — along with the Hearts & Rubies students, will shape their fates? Prepare for an unforgettable tale of “Twisted Wonderland,” reimagined in stunning animation and music.
