Additionally, we received the following comment from TAKUMA (Vocals / Guitar):
When watching world-class athletes compete in events like World Athletics Championships or the Olympics, you see them breaking their personal best records. For me, running has always been about pushing past my own limits—the pressure and excitement of that moment are what drive performance. I never managed to beat my training records during actual competition, even though I trained hard. It’s incredibly difficult to mentally sharpen your focus so completely that every stride becomes a sprint. That’s why the way Umamusume run—so joyfully, with such heart—is truly inspiring. We created this song together, drawing from that imagery. Please listen and feel it.

Based in Kyoto, the band has established a unique sound by blending genres such as ROCK, PUNK, HEAVY METAL, REGGAE, HIP HOP, and GUITAR POP into their own distinctive style—despite being a simple three-piece setup. Their energetic live performances, heartfelt lyrics filled with humanity, charismatic personalities that bring smiles, and strong entertainment appeal consistently keep them in the spotlight.
They released their 9th album in December 2022, including the ending theme song for the movie THE FIRST SLAM DUNK, titled “The Zero Feeling.” From January to November 2023, they completed a nationwide tour of 56 concerts (55 domestic shows plus one in South Korea). “The Zero Feeling” became their first single to surpass 200 million streams worldwide—gaining massive popularity both domestically and internationally.
In late 2023, the band performed at the 74th NHK Red & White Song Contest. In April 2024, they held a solo concert at Kyoto Miyako Messe; in May, they played at Yokohama Arena. Their latest single, “helm’N bass,” released on July 3, 2024, serves as the official anthem for Asahi Super Dry × 3x3.EXE PREMIER and includes two additional tracks: “Re-equation,” the theme song for the TBS Friday drama Fermat’s Cuisine (Oct. 2023–), and “gg Shanshan,” the theme song for the 2024 ABC Professional Baseball League. Now in their 28th year, they continue to evolve and push forward with renewed energy.
They also organize the annual outdoor festival “Kyoto Great Operation,” originally planned for 2007 but canceled due to a typhoon. Since then, it has become an established summer tradition. Though weather disruptions or the impact of the novel coronavirus have led to cancellations in some years, this event remains immensely popular—selling out tickets every year for over 15 years.
