Frontier Works will host a special immersive horror aquarium experience titled “Aquarium Doesn’t Dance” (available on PC / Nintendo Switch) in collaboration with Sunshine Aquarium, running from October 10 to November 3, 2025, exclusively at night (from 6:15 PM to 9:00 PM).
“Aquarium Doesn’t Dance” is a free horror adventure game released in February 2024. Created solely by Daidai, the developer who dislikes horror games, it gained widespread attention after being completed over eight years despite its development team mysteriously disappearing soon after the project began. In the game, players must escape from eerie creatures known as “Creepies” while uncovering hidden mysteries within an aquarium.
During this event, attendees will participate in a puzzle-solving rally set within a nighttime aquarium recreated to match the world of “Aquarium Doesn’t Dance,” allowing visitors to step into the protagonist’s role. Participants will receive one original ending card as a keepsake. The venue will be adorned with eerie decorations and enhanced by specially curated BGM, transforming the usual relaxing aquarium into a terrifying experience.

The most terrifying thing? That this project has grown so large it’s now a collaboration with Sunshine Aquarium. This is Daidai speaking.
Nine years ago, I used to visit the special exhibitions at Sunshine Aquarium again and again, dreaming of one day doing a puzzle-solving collaboration. If only I could tell my younger self back then: “Hey—your dream just came true!”
And actually… there’s a stage in front of the entrance that’s based on the waterfall featured at Sunshine Aquarium!

[Synopsis]
You visit Sunshine Aquarium.
As you gaze at graceful fish and jellyfish swimming by, something shifts—suddenly, you find yourself lost in a terrifying aquarium.
While wandering the halls, glass tanks begin to glow intensely—and two mysterious girls appear: Suu and Retro.
“Are you human…? Staying too long here is dangerous… We must escape now!”
Can you make it out alive—or will you remain trapped forever, never waking up?
Solve mysteries alongside these strange girls and find your way out of the haunted aquarium.
