Spider-Man
Spider-Man is a globally renowned superhero, especially in Japan, having appeared frequently in both film adaptations and video games. As one of Marvel’s most iconic characters, he has a strong fanbase.
Among the current playable cast, Spider-Man boasts top-tier speed, allowing him to close distances quickly using agile movements involving jumps and dashes. While his motion is nimble, his standard attack reach is slightly shorter than average.
Color variant 2 features a design reminiscent of Black Spider-Man from Spider-Man 3. Image Gallery No.006 thumbnail image / Spider-Man and Ghost Rider join! “MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls” TGS 2025 Exhibit Version Report [TGS2025]
In addition to high mobility, Spider-Man possesses unique skills such as the Web Zip, enabling rapid movement in the direction of a thrown web line, and Web Hang, allowing him to remain stationary mid-air for a limited time. These abilities enable tricky maneuvers that can thoroughly confuse opponents. Since many of his moves are usable in the air, players should be able to execute highly flexible aerial combat.
While basic attacks like Web Shot (ranged) and Arachno Assault (melee) are simple and easy to use, Spider-Man lacks a standard anti-air special move found on most other characters.
Instead, he features Spider-Sense, an automatic counterattack defense skill triggered when taking damage. If you read your opponent’s attacks correctly, you can reverse offense and defense without relying on gauge-based counters like Assembly Counter or Cross-Over, giving him strong strategic potential.

Ghost Rider
Ghost Rider is a dark superhero born from the fusion of human and demon, instantly recognizable by his flaming skull. In this game, instead of riding a motorcycle, he drives an American classic car. His design appears to be based on Robert Reyes, who appeared in the TV series Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and is considered the fourth incarnation in Marvel comics.
Players can see his human face during pre-match or victory sequences. Image Gallery No.012 thumbnail image / Spider-Man and Ghost Rider join! “MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls” TGS 2025 Exhibit Version Report [TGS2025]
In MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls, Ghost Rider excels at mid-to-long-range combat by swinging his chain with brute force. While his mobility—such as walking and dashing speed—is relatively low due to his long reach, he rarely misses attacks, making link attacks via rapid □ button presses feel especially effective compared to other characters.
He also has a command throw that’s highly useful for breaking through close-range defenses, giving strong pressure when engaged. This makes him versatile across various ranges.
A standout feature is the character-specific system called “Vengeance Gauge.” When Ghost Rider lands attacks using his fire-based moves, this gauge fills up and increases in level. As it rises, many of his skills become stronger—especially the skill Judgment Credle, which becomes dramatically enhanced with fiery effects when the Vengeance Gauge is high. This one is definitely worth watching.
