HyperTrain Digital has released a teaser trailer for “Canyons,” a PC-based PvE shooter developed by RedRuins Softworks.
“Canyons” is a third-person action shooter set in the world of Canyon, once rich with water and life. This world has since been overrun by countless eerie creatures and mutants—known as “Awakened”—fused with machines, transforming civilization into a dried-up canyon landscape resembling an exposed seabed. To reclaim their world, the Order of the Dual Cross rises, and its members, known as Crusaders, fight using unwavering faith and relics from the past.

Players can enjoy solo play or team up with up to four others. Dozens of classes, designed around firearms, are available for players to master in their respective roles. Maps are procedurally generated, and players traverse the canyon using massive crawlers while eliminating enemies.

The Sanctuaries granted to the Crusaders by high-ranking figures such as cardinals serve as safe zones. These areas include workshops, living quarters, garages for repairing and customizing crawlers, and dining halls where players can cook meat harvested from defeated Awakened enemies—preparing for upcoming battles. Even though these are safe zones, players must still maintain strong defenses, as enemy forces may launch massive assaults.

RedRuins Softworks, the developer behind the 2021 sci-fi survival adventure “Breathedge,” is working on “Canyons.” The studio plans to release its sequel, “Breathedge 2,” in 2026, suggesting that “Canyons” will likely follow after that.
The Steam store page for the game has launched and Japanese interface and subtitles are planned. Those interested should add it to their wishlist and keep an eye out for future updates.
