In Her Veil, players assume the role of a single monster that destroyed a village and secretly takes on the identity of the father to guide the surviving girl, Emma. Emma has lost her sight and remains unaware that her “father” is actually this monster. As the player, you must raise her while concealing your true identity.

Emma aspires to join a knight order and gradually unlocks her potential. To progress the story, you must use cards to enhance Emma’s abilities—but powerful cards require stamina as a cost.

If your “Bond” level doesn’t exceed a certain threshold when your stamina runs out, your true identity will be exposed. Harsh training boosts stats significantly but also raises suspicion (“Doubt”), which is tied directly to the Bond threshold—so caution is essential.

Game development circle Nonlinear announces the release of their growth game, “Her Veil,” on Saturday, November 8, 2025 at 8:00 PM. In “Her Veil,” a monster that destroyed everything for a young girl takes on the role of her father as atonement and guides her—blindness and all—through a deck-building growth experience. Players assume the identity of Arthur, Emma’s father, and raise her while concealing their true nature.

● Does guilt nurture punishment—or bonds?
The protagonist is a monster who unintentionally destroyed the village. Only one survivor remains: Emma, the village girl. After taking over her father Arthur’s body, the monster vows to continue pretending to be him so as not to cause further sorrow. Guide Emma—whose mother she lost and who yearns to grow stronger—as you nurture her without revealing your identity.
