‘PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS’ Launches Update 38.2 in Collaboration with Porsche
Introduces Three New Special Vehicle Skins, Expands Customization Features, and Adds Craft Pass
KRAFTON JAPAN Co., Ltd. (President & CEO: Lee Kang-sok) has released Update 38.2 for ‘PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS’ (hereafter referred to as ‘PUBG’). This update features new collaborative content in partnership with premium automotive brand Porsche, the expansion of the “Rondo” world, and a transition to next-generation console services.
The core highlight of this update is the collaboration with Porsche. Three new special vehicle skins have been added to ‘PUBG’: the “Panamera Turbo S Sedan,” the “911 Carrera GTS Sports Car,” and the “Cayenne Turbo GT SUV.”
Following the Porsche collaboration, players can now customize not only exterior colors, wheels, and brake calipers of vehicles but also license plates. Over 20 new Porsche-themed license plates have been added. Additionally, a brand-new Craft Pass: Porsche has been introduced, offering various rewards such as Porsche Tokens and Porsche Loot Cache.
The “Rondo” map has also undergone numerous changes. The Market and related content (Pillar Guard, BR Coins, Lockers) have been removed, while various adjustments have been made to the Lo Hua Xing and Rin Jiang regions. Garage locations have been repositioned, and fixed vehicle spawn points have been added. Furthermore, mountainous terrain across the map has been flattened, and shallow water zones have been converted into regular terrain—enhancing overall gameplay stability.
In particular, parts of the Test Track area have been redesigned, with a new lap time measurement feature now available. This allows players to record their own performance and compete against others. A similar test track has also been added to the starting island, enabling practice before matches begin.
Additional new content has also been introduced, including Secret Rooms, Vending Machines, and destructible pots and gas tanks—offering players even more diverse combat experiences.
Finally, this update has implemented the previously announced transition to console services that was initially revealed in August of this year.
As a result of this transition, ‘PUBG’ will now be operated exclusively as a next-generation console service for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. This enables players to enjoy ‘PUBG’ on more powerful and stable platforms.
