Colopl resolved at its board meeting held on November 5, 2025, to implement a Career Transition Support Program. The program targets full-time employees aged 26 and above who are not managers or higher-level executives.
The company plans to recruit approximately 70 voluntary resignees effective January 31, 2026, treating their departures as company-initiated terminations, and will provide special severance payments along with job placement support for those interested.
Colopl noted that recent mobile gaming markets have become increasingly challenging, with the creation of new hit titles growing progressively harder each year. The core entertainment business recorded a loss again in the fiscal period ending September 2025, reflecting severe operating conditions. To enhance long-term stability and corporate sustainability centered on its entertainment operations, Colopl decided to implement this Career Transition Support Program.
The estimated costs associated with the program—including special severance payments—are projected at approximately ¥210 million. These expenses are expected to be recorded as a one-time loss in the first quarter of the fiscal period ending September 2026. The actual amount may vary depending on the number and composition of applicants.
